Júlia Zuza
Júlia Zuza is from Belo Horizonte (Minas Gerais / Brazil) and graduated in Communication and Public Relations from PUC-MG. She holds a postgraduate degree in Cultural Management from UNA-BH and a Masters from the University of Coimbra in Portuguese Literature: Research and Teaching (Mia Couto e Luandino Vieira: a ficção de fronteira nas obras editadas para o público infantojuvenil, 2014). She has published articles and presented papers in academic conferences in the field of children’s and youth literature, one of her major interests. Her professional experience includes work in cultural production and advertising. She is also a writer, and has received several distinctions: winner in the poetry category in the Festival of Music and Poetry from Paranavaí (2014), first award in the XXXVI Literary Competition Felippe D’Oliveira in the poetry category (2013), selected for publishing poems in the Literary Supplement of Minas Gerais (2014), and winner of the national writing competition of Cosac Naify (2010). Her work was included in the Fliporto collection of Twitter poems (2013), and her poems were published in anthologies. She was a CAPES doctoral fellow (2016-2019) and received her PhD in Materialities of Literature with the thesis A Trama do Tempo no Álbum Ilustrado: Movimento, Pluralidade e Subjetividade no Planeta Tangerina (2020 [12-05-2021]).
