Marie Claire De Mattia
Marie Claire De Mattia holds an MA in European and Extra-European Languages and Literatures from the Università degli Studi of Mila. She is currently a PhD student in the Doctoral Program in Materialities of Literature. Her research project, titled «The black female body and the writing of Ama Ata Aidoo and Paulina Chiziane», is supervised by Prof. Catarina Martins and was funded by the Science and Technology Foundation (FCT). She collaborated with the University of Ghana, Legon, Accra. She has participated in several national and international conferences and colloquia, and has publications in Portugal, Italy, and Brazil. Her academic interests include comparative contemporary African literature, especially of female authorship, world literature, and gender studies.
